Dawn Staley has played the game of basketball at the highest of levels. She was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012, and named one of WNBA’s Top 15, honoring the most influential players in the league’s history.
She’s coached and won in ways that only few have. Staley is the only Black head coach (in men’s or women’s basketball) to win multiple national championships. She’s been named the National Coach of the Year five times and the Naismith Coach of the Year for the past three seasons. In 24 seasons as a head coach, Staley has led her college teams to 14 25-win seasons, including last year’s undefeated (38-0) season.
To put it simply, she’s one of the greats, and you can see her live and in person in Omaha on Friday, October 18 at our Lead the Change event.
