Thanks to Omaha Fashion Week for designating the Women’s Fund of Omaha as its charity for 2010. Fashion Week’s mission to develop young designers - many of whom are women - complements the Women's Fund vision of developing a community where every woman and girl can reach her full potential.
Omaha Fashion Week, held Sept. 13-18, 2010, is the Midwest's biggest fashion event. This year’s production featured dozens of designers, hundreds of models and thousands of spectators.
The Sept. 16 runway show at Nomad Lounge was a benefit for the Women’s Fund. Proceeds from a silent auction of eight Jane Doe mannequins created by local artists, as well as ticket sales for the evening, went to the nonprofit organization.
Prior to the Sept. 18 grand finale runway show, the Women’s Fund held a pre-party for its Changemaker donors.
